Philippians 1:6, Lamentations 3:22-24 (TCJB)
And I am sure of this, that the One who began a good work among you will keep it growing until it is completed on the Day of the Messiah Yeshua. And the grace of Adonai is not exhausted, that His compassion has not ended. On the contrary, they are new every morning! How great your faithfulness! “Adonai is all I have,” I say; “therefore I will put my hope in him.
I so desire to reflect my Heavenly Father, but as a matter of fact, it’s painful to sometimes see the reflection of our negative side looking back at us through our children. If someone is perfect, and have perfect children, please tell me how it’s done. While it may make one cringe to read this, it’s just part of this Christian’s sojourn. That said, writing from a Christian bias, there’s always a flesh nature we deal with, or a Tawanda, as my friend calls her!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes those repeated things in our lives that I pray to overcome are stubborn, and they just haven’t been perfected as quickly as I’d like, and it can get me discouraged! BUT, being a citizen of the Kingdom of God, there is ALWAYS good news! My builder is Jesus, and He’s the best Carpenter we could ever have.
Patience, Lord! Give me patience to wait for HIM to help me get these things perfected in my flesh that I don’t like!
The same Carpenter, the author and finisher of our faith, will complete that work…stay living, moving, and being in Him! And the same Carpenter, Jesus Christ, will complete the work in our children as well!
One of my favorites …HIS mercies are NEW every morning, and GREAT is HIS faithfulness! Patience (Lamentations 3:22-24)! He’ll continue working in us to reflect Him more perfectly!!
